The original design is by Tsimshian artist Maurice Sam. I created a vector of the artwork so it can be applied to a bag for Waap Lagaax (a Killerwhale housegroup in Kitsumalum). The house will host a feast for a stonemoving of two of their matriarchs. This design represents the Tsimshian matriarch whose name means starfish.
